roboBOREALIS is a small studio in St. Petersburg, Florida that builds and hosts websites. This site is roboborealis.com.

When you send a project through the contact form we collect the name, phone number and email address you type, your message, and the package and add-ons you picked. We use them to reply to you, and for nothing else.

The form also records your IP address, your browser and language settings, and the page you came from. We keep these to spot spam and to see which pages bring in real enquiries.

Each new enquiry is emailed to our team through Amazon SES and stored in our own database on our own servers. We never sell or share it.

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages and buttons get used. It records the pages you view, roughly where you are (country and city, not street), your browser and device, and how you arrived.

We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling, so we can fix confusing spots. It sees what you do on the site, not who you are.

Analytics and Clarity stay off until you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you press Decline, no analytics cookies are set and your visit is not tied to you.

Google Tag Manager, the tool that manages these, still loads so it can honour your choice. That means Google receives your IP address, as it does for any file a page loads, and Google Analytics may receive a basic ping with no cookies and no visitor ID.

When you pick Accept or Decline, we save that choice in your browser so we do not ask on every page. It never leaves your device. Clear your browser data to be asked again.

Analytics data is kept for 14 months in Google Analytics, then deleted. Enquiries are kept as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of work with you. Ask us and we will delete yours.

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Email hello@roboborealis.com and we will handle it.
